Why We Care

As inhabitants of Earth, we have the reponsibility of maintaining and protecting the planet that allows us to live. We are using the resources of this planet with disregard of future generations, other living organisms, and the health of Terra Mater*.

We started our website with the goal of spreading awareness of the environmental issues we are facing today in the hopes of expressing the gravity of our situation. As members of the recent generation, we are passionate about creating a better tomorrow for our future families.

*Terra Mater is the Roman goddess of Earth.

Environmental Issues

We all know the Earth is heating up, but do we know how desperate is our situation really is?

THREE DEGREES- Natural disasters become more frequent and vicious. There will be no ice. Water levels will rise by 25 meters. 150 million people will be displaced.

TWO DEGREES- In time, there will be no fresh water. Once the atmosphere is damaged to this point, there is no going back.

We are already past the one degree mark, meaning global tempertures have already risen one degree. Already, we are facing unpredictible droughts and flash floods.

If we continue releasing carbon dioxide at this rate, we will reach our 2 degree cap 3 times over by 2050.
